I performed the install originally on Windows 8 and have since upgraded to 8.

I didn't do anything special to get it working, just run the Exchange Server installer and select only the management tools. I am alright with Powershell, but would still like access to the GUI if possible. I don't think it is possible to run the EMC on Windows I didn't find any indication regarding 8. One more thing to validate in my environment then I don't have Exchange though I have SP3, but it would be nice to continue using the console on my laptop instead of RDP to one of the Exchange server every time I got it to work!
