That seems excessive. My startup is also quite slow considering that my laptop is new. Can anyone tell me clearly which of these I can safely stop or get rid of? I also randomly get notices saying that I have "A New App" to do things. I'm not sure if my computer is automatically downloading things without asking or if it came with these things and is letting me know I have them when it thinks they are relevant.
Anyone else know? In order to diagnose your problem we need to run Windows performance toolkit the instructions for which can be found in this wiki.

No article about startup items would be complete without mentioning the techies favorite tool Autoruns for getting the job done! Although not for the novice, Autoruns shows entries for a number of startup options not just the standard process items, such as Scheduled tasks, Drivers, Services, network functions and lots more. Clicking an entry shows some detail about it at the bottom of the window and you can untick it to disable or highlight and delete.
Autoruns is a tool no advanced user is without and is great for analyzing most things related to the Windows startup process. It works on Windows XP and above. Download Autoruns. Great List.. This is a nice list! You should have a form or so for suggestions from the masses…. Thank you so much raymond for ALL of your posts I love them! Dumpster Rental Ocala 14 hours ago.
