Is there someplace in the menu system where you have to tell the game to look for the camera? I dunno, just a shot in the dark there. When I first played Police in the arcade I thought it was just one of the best games I had played in a long time. In fact I think it is the only game I have ever spent money to actually beat in an arcade. To get that same enjoyment at home might be something to look into.
I had no idea this had a console release. Please keep us updated, as if you can get it working, then I will want to get a set up for myself! I've found out that the only camera this works with is the Konami Capture Eye.
This is apparently the only game that uses the Eye, so it's a bit hard to locate. But, I've got one sitting on my desk to be tried out tonight, so hopefully it will work. I also found a copy of the Japanese version of the game Keisatsukan that is a bit different than the Euro release. Unfortunately, needing to get the Capture Eye pushed the cost of the whole package up a pretty fair amount, but if it works I think it will be worth it.
Has to be better than using a Dual Shock to play it. I'll report back with more details once I've tried it out. Is it at all possible to play the game on a US PS2? I know someone has talked about buying this before, but I couldn't seem to find the thread searched Police and Playstation in Modern Gaming.
Is there any way for me to buy this and have this work? If so, what would I need outside of the game? From memory there is a certain list of USB Cameras that work with it. Thanks Dave. The only camera that works with the game is the Konami Capture Eye. It also needs a Hyper Blaster, but I think it may work with a Guncon 1. It's tricky to set up, but it does work pretty well once you get it all together. Ah hokay, for some reason I was thinking it only was out in the UK. I really want to play this game..
